Advisor to the Minister of Defense, also military expert Davit Jamalyan assures that Azerbaijan has yet to receive an adequate response for downing the Armenian helicopter. He does not consider the removal of the helicopter a complete answer. “Only the strength is able to make the Turks live next to us more or less humanly. Shouldn’t we removed the helicopter and asked more, they would have become more impudent. Impunity makes to become impudent. But our top military political authorities have the experience to deal with the Turks. The militants would assess the situation realistically, would find the opportune and would five a very painful response and with this painful answer, they will force the enemy to be once again restrained. In other words, this painful answer is inevitably going to happen, but our professional militants would decide on their own when, where and how to punish the opponent,” said Davit Jamalyan.
According to him, Azerbaijanis also conduct exercises and the Azerbaijan technique also regularly appears in the observation point by Armenia’s side. “Hence, a day will come and the moment will come. We simply should give the response without any losses, to the point, in recent years, in the presence of vast majority of our punitive actions, the Armenian special forces have not given any losses. If we have had losses, they occurred when moving the opponent’s subversive act back, when the attack was initiated by them.” As to what effect the removal of the helicopter will have, Davit Jamalyan continued, “It would be the beginning of a new tension, in the sense that now, even the unwritten rules that are predictable on the border, now, these rules are also neglected by Azerbaijan. In this case, the quality of the conflict is changed. In other words, if earlier the tension was displayed by a sniper act and subversive attacks, now, downing a hardware has also become possible.”
