What steps should Armenia make for the future relationship with Turkey? What demands should it put, especially when it is known that now a legal package is getting prepared. In the interview with Aravot.am, the “Heritage” faction MP Tevan Poghosyan said that although the official Yerevan has always talked about the relations with Turkey without preconditions, however, it is clear that the issue of demand has always been on our agenda and as to what formulation it will obtain, it is a matter of negotiations. In the meantime, our interlocutor says that we need to keep going, developing and getting stronger.
“We need to have a powerful Armenia.” In his opinion, we need to consistently continue the process of recognition of the genocide worldwide and the fight for condemnation and against denial, at the same time creating a framework where we should promote to prevention of such occurrences through bringing up and educating about the Armenian Genocide. Tevan Poghosyan at this point, in terms of the claims, considers it right that both in Armenia and in the world, there are different Armenian groups that are trying to develop legal documents and present them to Turkey. He does not think that the perpetrator can apologize and go away.
