On September 8, the Armenian side does not have any special expectations from the upcoming conferences of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs on Nagorno-Karabakh in Moscow. This was told to the journalists by RA Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan. According to him, the expectation might be in the case when Azerbaijan changes its deconstructive approach. “Over 20 years, we are in this process and attend meetings regularly. The problem is that we do not record progress for a very simple reason: one of the parties – Azerbaijan – even the agreements reached at the negotiating are roughly violated by Azerbaijan.
The striking proof of it are the recent meetings in Vienna and St. Petersburg where they have talked and an obligation was assumed to reinforce the cease-fire regime on the contact line. However, in the real field, Azerbaijan is an obstacle” – specified Shavarsh Kocharyan, adding, “What does it mean that there is no negotiation? Negotiations about what? Now, we are negotiating for the fulfillment of the agreements reached in Vienna and St. Petersburg. As long as they provoke, it is impossible to record progress in the negotiations for the settlement.”
