Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a phone conversation with US President Donald Trump.
Prime Minister Pashinyan thanked President Trump for organizing the August 8, 2025 Peace Summit in Washington, D.C., at the White House, and for signing as a witness the Declaration of Peace adopted by the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan, emphasizing the decisive role of President Trump’s personal efforts in establishing peace.
The interlocutors noted with satisfaction that the Washington Peace Summit has led to real peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, which is seen and felt by the peoples of both countries.
During the phone conversation, the current status of the TRIPP project was discussed. Prime Minister Pashinyan and President Trump reaffirmed their determination to begin construction of TRIPP in the near future.
