The member of the “Citizen-Observer” initiative, the head of “Asparez” Journalistss’ Club of Gyumri Levon Barseghyan assured if the authorities were from people and a proper investigation was in place, then it would be evident that no elections were taken place but serious pressures on people’s will of expression were put: “At least throughout previous 5 years the will of the people has been cultivated through terrific tools – utilization of administrative recourses, media and vote-buying subject to them.”
On this occasion he brought the recording revealing vote accumulation of the district candidate of the Republican Party of Armenia Artak Sargsyan (SAS’s Artak) as an example and got upset: “SAS’s Artak’s case is the little piece of the whole system. I do not think anyone had put a gun on the heads of the applauders to applaud, but they were applauding. One that promises money for a vote, trip to Paris, can say that the given person has come and applauded willingly. And we consider that this will has been seriously raped.”
