Hayk Gagik Khachatryan, the soldier of the Defense Army born in 1998 having received a deathly injury because of the mine explosion in Askeran on September 1 are taking place, was buried yesterday on 3rd September. He was the resident of Gusanagyugh community of Ani region of Shirak Province.
The head of the village, Vasak Gharibyan informed that Hayk had been serving in the Army for 8 months, had served in Artashat for 5 months and afterwards been transferred to Askeran. The accident has happened during the military service. Hayk has served as a signaler. As stated by the head of the village, while completing the military order he has climbed on a hill from which he has slipped and fallen on a mined area by accident and died immediately.
The head of the village informs that when he has climbed the hill, one of his fellow-soldiers has warned him to come down, forasmuch as he could become the victim of the adversary-sniper, he has turned back to get down, slipped and fallen on a mined area.
Hayk was the elder son of his parents, he had 2 brothers. The head of the village informs that the second brother will start his military service since the winter and the youngest is still a pupil.
