The government created the draft of “Republic of Armenia Pardoning for Criminal Activity in honor of the 27th Anniversary of Independence,” which will be discussed by the parliament during the upcoming session on October 23rd.
The draft consists of three chapters: 1) Overall provisions, framework for carrying out the law, 2) framework for granting amnesty, and 3) final part and transitory provisions.
There is a separate section in the third chapter for “Shant Harutyunyan and friends” who committed crimes and the people who committed crimes in connection to the takeover of the Police Patrol Service Regiment from July 17th until July 31st of 2016.
