‘Edmon Marukyan should not decide how Nikol Pashinyan should be’: Lena Nazaryan

February 18,2019 20:51

Deputy from the My Step faction and Vice Speaker of the National Assembly Lena Nazaryan spoke to reporters during a briefing about the exchange during discussions about the government plan between the Bright Armenia party and My Step. “I believe everyone saw that the Prime Minister answered questions slowly and patiently. He was present for all speeches and he listened carefully. Whenever I try to remember criticism from Bright Armenia, all I can think of is the word “bitter.” This does not bring any worth to their content. I would have liked to hear discussions that had more content.”

As far as why they were not more intolerant, Lena Nazaryan said, “All opposition deputies had the opportunity to ask questions and get answers. I cannot say how that turned into bitterness or intolerance.”

When asked about how Edgar Marukyan believed that Nikol Pashinyan did not carry himself well that day, because there needs to be a difference between opposition member Pashinyan and leader Pashinyan. Marukyan said that parliament reminds him of North Korea, since the Prime Minister is applauded every five minutes. Lena Nazaryan said, “Edmon Marukyan should not decide how Nikol Pashinyan should be. Every politician decides for themselves how they should be. It would do Mr. Marukyan well for him to think about how he should carry himself.”
