Current mayor of Abovyan Vahagn Gevorgyan was reelected during the recent elections. Vahagn Gevorgyan celebrated his victory with cake and high spirits, and his friends are thanking the honorable residents of Abovyan for their support. They also invited the governor of the Kotayk region to celebrate.

The Civil Contract candidate, Grigor Gulyan, lost in the election.

This is the second time after the revolution of 2018 that the ruling party’s candidate lost in an election. The first case was during the mayoral elections in Kapan.
