‘Only two of the seven family members of a person who died from the coronavirus were tested’: Lawyer

August 26,2020 23:30

Lawyers from a law firm presented legal issues that arose from the family members of people who died of the coronavirus. Lawyer Syuzanna Khcheyan told reporters about the social side of this issue. “State agencies and their employees did not adequately carry out their duties. Relatives stated that they made purchases, but the state did not compensate them. People who were in isolation did not receive any support. If it weren’t for their relatives and friends, they claimed that they could have died from starvation,” the lawyer said.

Khcheyan said, “Those in isolation claimed that state agencies simply called them and asked if they were maintaining the isolation rules. There was one case in which only two of the seven family members of a person who died of the coronavirus were tested. The family remained in isolation for two weeks and did not leave the house. However, no one from any polyclinic visited them, nor did they make any phone calls. This family essentially treated themselves. Regarding the supply of food and other necessities, the issue was resolved solely thanks to their relatives. However, the state of emergency command called and asked if they needed any food. The family said that they did, but they did not receive any support.”
