On September 23, at 02:01 local time (on September 22, 22:01 GMT) the Seismological Network of the Territorial Seismic Protection Service of the MES of RA registered an earthquake of magnitude 2.5 and 10 kilometers depth with the geographic coordinates of 41.02⁰ in northern latitude and 43.94⁰ in eastern longitude on the 7th kilometer south-east of Ashotsk village, Armenia.

The magnitude of the earthquake in the epicenter was 3.

The earthquake was felt in Zuygaghbyur and Ashotsk villages of Shirak province with the magnitude of 2-3.
