Major Avetisyan would have been 31 on March 18th, he got married on September 26th, the war began on September 27th

Levon Armenak Avetisyan would have turned 31 on March 18th. His relatives, soldiers, friends in combat from Artsakh, and the soldiers from his unit paid respects to Levon Avetisyan’s memory at Yerablur on his birthday.

Levon Avetisyan was born in Ejmiatsin. In an interview with Aravot Daily, his cousin, Nelly Muradyan, said that her cousin served in Artsakh for eight years- five years in Hadrut, and three years in Jabrayil (Jrakan) as the head of the intelligence military unit regiment. Then, he was transferred to the N military base in Yerevan. He served at that base for three months.

Levon got married on September 26, 2020, and the war began on September 27th. According to Levon’s cousin, “He stayed home for five days after the wedding, and then he went to the battlefield.”

Levon Avetisyan was a scout. He was also fluent in Turkish, and he carried out special tasks.

Major Levon Armenak Avetisyan died on the night of October 12th and 13th in Hadrut while he was carrying out a task. His cousin said, “We all spoke to him during the war. He would call and tell us that everything was fine. He even called on the day he died to speak to his mother and wife. He said that everything was fine. My cousin died from a UAV strike that same day.”

Major Avetisyan’s friends in combat were the ones to break the news of his death. They called Levon’s cousin, Nelly.

Nelly was unable to find words to describe her cousin. She said that he was a perfect individual. Levon Avetisyan’s relatives and friends described him as being kind, brave, and funny, and they say that he can be described using all the positive terms in the world. During the interview, Nelly Muradyan said that he was strict and demanding as a soldier, but he was loved by all his soldiers at the same time.
