Today, we are walking past what used to be one of the most important national security structures in the Republic of Armenia, but what has now become the Turkish Embassy of Armenia with its secretary. And the secretary of the Security Council, Armen Grigoryan, can safely say that he is the ambassador of Turkey to Armenia.
This is a person and structure that turned into a tool to betray the memory of the Armenian people and their struggle, to forget the 1.5 million martyrs, and to become friends with Erdogan and Turkey at the hands of Nikol Pashinyan. These people must be thrown out of the system because after losing in the Artsakh War, they are now throwing Armenia into Turkey’s lap.
Aliyev wasn’t enough; now it’s Erdogan. And this is not the first time that these policies have been implemented. Two years ago during our torchlight march, a Nikol supporter threatened to file a complaint against us for burning the Turkish flag. At that time, we specifically burned the Turkish flag, saying that our youth controls its struggle and the Armenian memory. But it has been over two years now that this government forces us to forget the Armenian memory with its policies and everyday activities, which will be impossible.
The ancestors of many of the police officers standing here today were part of those 1.5 million martyrs. But, unfortunately, the state activities, work, salaries in the state system, the communities, and the security system force people to deny the memory of their ancestors, which will be impossible. The Armenian people will not allow the Republic of Armenia to become one of the vilayets of Turkey.
A few days ago, the main land-giver began his campaign in the regions, and in all the places, he repeated a maniacal sentence about the dream enemy of the enemy and the enemy of the enemy, the purpose of which is the same: to abort the demands of Armenians and political structures around the world, to abort the struggle for the Armenian Cause, and to abort the struggle for the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide on the eve of April 24th.
Now, we have crossed a much more dangerous line where the main land-giver is trying to open communications, thereby allegedly talking about what Armenians will gain, to remove our people’s memory from people’s minds. Neither the main land-giver nor his deputy sitting in this building, the Turkish ambassador to Armenia Armen Grigoryan, will be successful.
Two days ago, on their public television, Armen Grigoryan spoke about what they have been doing for the last three years, repeating in open text what Pashinyan has been repeating for several years.
Armenia is laying down its arms in the political struggle against Turkey, in the struggle for its rights, its memory, and its human memory, and it is simply bowing its head to Erdogan and Turkey. It is impossible. Any such attempt has failed and will now fail at a much faster rate. Armenia cannot have a pro-Turkish, Turkish government that serves Turkey that exists in our country now. It is the duty of every citizen.
I appeal to the employees of the Security Council. We do not wish to insult anyone. Many of you have been working at the Security Council and in our security system for many years, serving the Republic of Armenia. But for the third year in a row, someone who has been campaigning against the Armenian army for years, who ridiculed the Nation-Army ideology, who served foreigners, and who turned you into an instrument has been working in this building. Whoever has dignity and whoever realized the important tasks they were engaged in at the time must stand up. Otherwise, the red building that was allegedly built as part of our security system will change its color and content and will become the red flag of Turkey. We will not allow Turkish agents to operate in Armenia, not in parliament, not in the government, not in the Security Council, and not anywhere else. These days, at Pashinyan’s call, the network of agents of influence serving Turkey in Armenia is spreading, starting with the Security Council secretary and ending with the pro-government deputies in parliament. But their days are numbers. The Armenian people will reject them. We will raise our torches at Tsitsernakaberd again on April 23rd, and on April 24th, the Armenian people will walk to Tsitsernakaberd again. And you will not be able to take away the demanding torches from anyone. It will burn every day as a sign of our struggle, our memory, and as a sign of respect for our 1.5 million martyrs. We will burn the Turkish flag here today. That may be painful for the Turkish ambassador, but that’s his problem.”
