This week Armenian and U.S. officials conducted a joint visit to Syunik, where work continues to turn the vision of the “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity,” / The TRIPP program in Armenia, into reality.
The Armenian side comprised representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, while the U.S. side was represented by U.S. Chargé d’Affaires David Allen and Senior Advisor to the Policy Planning Staff of the U.S. Department of State Dr. Jon Askonas.
The officials will meet with representatives of local self-government bodies and communities to discuss how TRIPP can strengthen regional connectivity and unlock new economic opportunities while supporting Armenia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. They will also visit sites along the TRIPP route near Meghri.
The visit reflects the growing U.S.-Armenia partnership and our shared commitment to advancing peace, prosperity, and interconnectedness in the South Caucasus.
