The acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan did not deny rumors that there is a document during the session of government. Moreover, he said that it is in our best interests, and he plans on signing it.
Today, the My Step faction held a closed meeting in parliament, after which the chair of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Defense and Security Affairs, Andranik Kocharyan, told journalists that he is not familiar with the document, and he needs to familiarize himself with it. “I need time for that.”
Upon journalists’ surprise that the defense committee was also not given the document, and whether or not it is normal that the Prime Minister announces during a session of government that it is in Armenia’s best interests to sign the document, but the chair of the most important committee says that he is unaware, Andranik Kocharyan responded, “I am not aware at the moment, but I will be next time.”
Upon the observation that he is not familiar with the document, but the Prime Minister said he would sign it, Andranik Kochayan responded, “Did the Prime Minister say so? I must also become familiar with what the Prime Minister said. We discussed many issues during the party meeting.”

When asked about how Nikol Pashinyan said that he would not participate in secret negotiations, so why was this document discussed in secret, Kocharyan said, “That is your opinion. If there was an element of secrecy, the Prime Minister would not have said anything about it.”
When asked if he believes that the National Assembly should discuss that document, Andranik Kocharyan said, “According to the Constitution, any document concerning Armenia’s territories must be discussed. But no issues can arise concerning the territories in the Republic of Armenia.”
