“I recently returned from Vardenis. Regarding gunfire, there was an obvious decrease in intensivity, but the level of danger is not going down because UAVs were destroyed, and the destroyed UAVs fell close to residential settlements, including Norakert and Vanevan. This means that the danger continues to hang over our heads constantly,” deputy Taguhi Tovmasyan told reporters during a briefing.
She said that no matter how hard we try to maintain the ceasefire, people in the border regions want to live in a safe environment. “When this government was celebrating its victory and shooting fireworks, they should have thought about today apart from those fireworks. We continue to have danger zones in the territory of the Republic of Armenia. The enemy has been blamed for everything- the enemy is insidious and constantly attacking… we must have a sufficient level of defense.
Our army corps in Gegharkunik region is a victorious army corps; we must understand this. I am hopeful that we will be able to meet all the challenges. Nevertheless, my concern remains the same: citizens must be able to live safely in our country. For example, my children and I were scared that night.”
According to Tovmasyan, Aliyev has received promises and is now trying to speed up the fulfillment of promises with shootings and such provocations.
