Armenian drivers informed the deputy head of Goris, Karen Kocharyan, that the Azeris stopped and checked their trucks on the Goris-Kapan road last night. “I can’t say exactly whom they stopped or where those drivers came from, but that is the fact,” said Kocharyan.
According to some sources, the drivers were from Kapan. Our sources in the law enforcement agencies do not confirm the information that the cars of the Armenians were stopped. We tried to get clarifications from the Syunik regional administration, but they told Aravo Daily that the regional administration could not give clarifications on those topics and advised us to ask the NSS or the Ministry of Defense. By the way, information spread that the Azerbaijani police arrested two Iranian drivers at the checkpoint in the Vorotan village.
According to various sources, the latter had gone to Stepanakert and were arrested after returning from there. The deputy head of the Goris community was not aware of this incident.
