David Galstyan (“Patron Davo”), former adviser to David Tonoyan, detained for two months

The Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan completed the examination of the NSS motion on the arrest of David Galstyan (known as “Patron Davo”), the founder of the arms supply company, which started on September 30. According to the court decision, Davit Galstyan was detained for two months. His lawyer Armen Harutyunyan said that Galstyan does not accept the accusation.

No low-quality ammunition was supplied to the Ministry of Defense. The National Security Service (NSS) stated that within the framework of the criminal case initiated on the case of abuse of official authority and committing fraud by high-ranking officials of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, in the amount of 2,277,323,840 AMD and embezzlement, former Minister of Defense David Tonoyan and founder of the arms supply company David Galstyan (known as “Patron Davo”), who are accused, were arrested.

The court was examining the motion of the preliminary investigation body to detain Galstyan last night. Back in January, it became known that David Galstyan, David Tonoyan’s former adviser, is facing four criminal cases. On September 30, former Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan was also arrested, whose former adviser was Davit Galstyan.
