Thank you, Councilmember Paul Krekorian and the entire City Council!

COUNCILMEMBER KREKORIAN LIGHTS CITY HALL TO MARK FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF THE END OF HOSTILITIES AGAINST ARTSAKH

Upon the motion of Councilmember Paul Krekorian, the Los Angeles City Council voted today to honor the people of the Republic of Artsakh on the first anniversary of the official end of the 44-day war. Los Angeles City Hall will be lit up tonight in the colors of the flag of Artsakh in solidarity with those courageous people who were viciously and brutally attacked by Azerbaijan. Krekorian issued the following statement to mark the occasion:

“Today, November 9, 2021, marks the first anniversary of the official end of hostilities following the brutal, unprovoked aggression by Azerbaijan, with the full support of Turkey and its terrorist mercenaries, against the people of the Republic of Artsakh. A year later, Azerbaijan continues to violate international law and the ceasefire agreement by holding captive dozens of Armenian prisoners of war, and by firing upon and killing civilians in both Armenia and Artsakh. This evening, City Hall will be lit in the colors of the Artsakh flag in memory of the brave men and women who have died defending Artsakh and the innocent civilians deliberately and savagely targeted by Azerbaijan, in solidarity with those still held captive and in hope and anticipation of the liberation of Shushi and all occupied territories of the sovereign Republic of Artsakh.”
