“They serve Turkish-Azerbaijani interests and we must remove the authorities who are doing everything possible to make Artsakh part of Azerbaijan,” Armen Rustamyan, a member of the Armenia faction, told reporters. According to Rustamyan, if the authorities do not say that Artsakh will not be part of Azerbaijan, it means they agree with Azerbaijan.
In response to the question about where Artsakh should be, he answered that it should be independent. The journalists clarified whether Artsakh could be part of Russia, Rustamyan answered, “The people of Artsakh must decide what country to be a part of. Artsakh has taken the path of self-determination, after which it will decide whether to join Armenia or not.”
According to Rustamyan, in the November 9 document, Pashinyan signed that Artsakh is not a subject, while no Armenian government has the right to act on behalf of Artsakh. Rustamyan also said that he could not comment on the statements made by Arayik Harutyunyan after the meeting with Pashinyan. “It is obvious to me that Arayik Harutyunyan cannot return to Artsakh if he suddenly agrees that Artsakh has agreed to be part of Azerbaijan. For whom it is not clear that if Artsakh is part of Azerbaijan, there will be no Armenians left in Artsakh, this is obvious.”

According to Rustamyan, Arayik Harutyunyan was probably lied to by Pashinyan; he can say one thing today and another tomorrow. “One day he announces that there is no theoretical possibility to withdraw Artsakh from Azerbaijan, the next day he says that you misunderstood me in connection with lowering the bar. He also told Arayik Harutyunyan, ‘I am never against the Artsakh issue being resolved as demanded by the people of Artsakh.’ I do not rule out that as soon as Nikol Pashinyan sees that he is in a bad place, he will fall ahead of us and defend the red lines of Artsakh with more effort and energy, which we say, and he may even want Mush and Sasun. I do not rule it out. He is ready to make any statement to keep his power.”
