Within the framework of her working visit to Brussels, the Human Rights Defender, Ms. Kristinne Grigoryan, held a meeting with the French-speaking and Dutch-speaking Federal Ombudsmen of Belgium.
During the meeting, Ms. Grigoryan presented the mandate, powers, and priority directions of the Defender’s institution.
Mr. David Cullen, the Dutch-speaking Ombudsman of Belgium, presented the particularities of the Belgian Ombudsman institution’s activities and referred to the institution’s methodology and toolkit to monitor the conduct of civil servants, as well as the process of investigations.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to mainta the cooperation between the two institutions.
