At the International Court of Justice of the United Nations, where Armenia’s claim against Azerbaijan is being examined today, it was predicted that Azerbaijan would use Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s statement against our interests.
Hence, Lawrence Martin, a lawyer representing the interests of Armenia, immediately prevented possible speculations. “You will probably hear that the statement of the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan on September 21 mentions that today, at this moment, we assess that the civilian population of Nagorno-Karabakh is not in danger.
The reference was to “that moment,” when reliable information was impossible to obtain, much less indicative of all that would happen after that. Prime Minister Pashinyan then explained the purpose of his statement in the October 4 Parliament; he stated that the motivation for his statement was that he was trying not to worsen the situation and not intensify the threats against ethnic Armenians.

This is the person who called the Armenians of the world the enemy of Azerbaijan; the world can afford not to believe the words of President Aliyev.”
Lawyer Martin also referred to the arrest of the former presidents of Artsakh, 8 Armenians. “They are taking steps to de-Armenize Nagorno-Karabakh and eliminate Armenian symbols. The streets of Stepanakert are being renamed; Vagharsh Vagharshyan Street was named Enver Pasha Street. Enver Pasha was one of the architects who organized the Armenian Genocide. You may remember that Azeri servants like to wear this sign of the Pasha, which says: Armenians, don’t run away; in any case, you’re going to die, you’re going to wear out, go.”
The lawyer presented how the Azerbaijanis overthrew the Armenian cultural monuments, buried the cross, and quickly began to settle the territories with Azerbaijanis.
