Today, a new Council of Europe 2025 probation survey was published. It analyses the situation with alternatives to imprisonment in Europe, including in Armenia.
The survey mentions Armenia in the context of the countries with the highest probation population rates (per 100,000 inhabitants), the countries which have reported significant increases in their probation population rates, and the countries with the highest ratios of probationers per 100 inmates (prisoners).
