LIMITLESS THEME OF ELECTORAL FRAUDS

May 23,2007 00:00

But the interantional observers may change their admiring remarks about the elections.

«This one paper is enough for a good Constitutional Court to recognize the parliamentary elections invalid, as the «Electoral Code says that if there are  irregularities which may exert influence, be careful, it doesn\’t say, sit and count whether that person has come to vote or hasn\’t but it means the phenomenon, and this is such a vicious phenomenon that the elections should be recognized invalid just for the existence of that phenomenon»,- V. Khachatryan told showing a document consisted of several pages where the names of those persons who are responsible for electoral frauds. Mr. Kohachatryan received that document in this way: « Maybe somebody got angry seeing that kind of frauds that\’s why he has left that document in PPA office. «Taking the drivers to the poling stations has been a specially organized arrangement for what people have been paid.
Representative of «Justice» Felix Kohachatryan met with the OSCE observers in the CEC yesterday and explained them the Armenian specifics of electoral frauds. After Mr.  Kohacharyan’s some detections, several OSCE representatives were simply astonished. For instance the representative of Ukraine told Mr. Khachatryan literally that it wasn\’t understandable for him why did the Armenian press write that the OSCE observers were of good opinion about the elections. He also promised that they would publish the 4th transitional and final report where they would represent their very serious objections. Felix Khachatryan reminded that before the elections that he was asking the observers to pay attention on two things; to stay in one certain polling station during the polling and accounting process, and the comparison of results will obviously show the size of frauds. Next request was to follow the numbers of cars that stop in fron of the polling stations and how many times. We noted that CEC deputy chairman A. Bakhchagulyan mentioned just during the election day that it wasn\’t forbidden: «Who has told that it isn\’t forbidden»,- «Electoral Code» says that it isn\’t allowed to promise or give services during the campaign. Who has asked you to take people to the polling stations? If the observers paid attention to that circumstance, it was just enough to record that the elections had been rigged. The citizen himself must come and vote, these kind of «benevolent» actions express an interest and exert the enfluence on the results of elections»,- PPA representative told in the CEC.
