RPA parliamentarian detected some “dark” details on the Prime Minister’s assignment.
RPA parliamentarian Rafik Petrosyan had come to the parliamentary briefing to make a “sensational” detection, and he succeeded in it, and when he was asked after that detection whether there are other questions, the journalists asked what else they should ask. Rafik Petrosyan’s detection was on some details of Tigran Sargsyan’s assignment. The journalists were interested whether the Republicans are not offended by the fact that not RPA member was assigned in the post of PM, Rafik Petrosyan said: “Yes, the Republicans were thinking that the PM’s post should be given to a Republican but discussions were made and it was found out that non Republican is also possible, taking into account the principles of professionalism. And the Republicans agreed and didn’t complain. We discussed that issue in the RPA board the members of which nominated the candidate of the RA President”. In answer to the question why the Republicans did not nominate any “old” Republican’s name, Mr. Petrosyan said: “Because we understood during those discussions, that his candidacy is profitable, why it is profitable, I do not want to say more but we deal with not only the professionalism but the foreign policy as well, to help the internal policy, with international financial organizations, with the World Bank which were thinking that the Central Bank Governor carries out that financial policy better, to honor the commitments of those international financial organizations towards Armenia”. In answer to the question, doesn’t it mean that our PM has been assigned by International Financial Organizations, Mr. Petrosyan said: “No it doesn’t mean so, the President has assigned him but the opinion of international financial organizations has been taken into account?” The lawmaker also reminded that we receive money from that organization in amount of our budget. We should remind that new assigned Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said that he was not going to become a party member.
PAP faction member Naira Zohrabyan was the following; the parliamentary majority should nominate the new Prime Minister, that means the RPA which ha s a majority in the parliament, and if the Republicans think that Tigran Sargsyan corresponds to the RPA ideals, Prosperous Armenia has no problem and will work with the new assigned PM. In her opinion not only professional but human qualities are also important for the parliamentarian.
