Vazgen Manukyan, the leader of the National Democratic Union (NDU), was present at the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) economic seminar. Unlike the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) and the Heritage Party, he said during a conversation with Aravot.am that the RPA project was “a very good project” and it was realizable. “There are no unreal numbers written here, it is real, but one should realize it. I don’t think that there is an unknown team that has much more capabilities, than this one – usually the team that has the power realizes it and the establishment has both appropriate information and tools.” In response to our question how appropriate the project was in this tense pre-election period, Vazgen Manukyan said, “It is a normal situation, it is a normal election, I don’t see any essential difference between this election and the previous one or between the election this year and the one next year or between our election and any other election around the world, it is a normal, ordinary process.” In response to our question whether it was normal and ordinary that ANC had given a hint to Prosperous Armenia, V. Manukyan said, “When parties run for the election, they always compete or cooperate with each other – it is normal, what is tense? You are young, that’s why you don’t get that ANC-PAP situation, that hint is normal, gradually get used to that tension.”
