The Heritage Party’s tactic rules out any action, as a result of which a hair on a citizen’s head will be harmed. Anahit Bakhshyan, a member of the Heritage Party, said during a conversation with www.aravot.am today. She didn’t clarify according to what program they will manage the popular movement united around them; she just said that the party leader would regularly talk with the people about the actions to be taken and the program. Ms. Bakhshyan indirectly confirmed the information circulating in the press that Serzh Sargsyan, the President of the Republic of Armenia, presented 3 scenarios of post-election developments during the meeting with Raffi Hovhannisyan yesterday. To cooperate with the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) and work together, to accept that he had come second and continue the civilized struggle, or else if he continued the struggle, along with his supporters, and breached the law, the government would take extreme measures and make respective decisions. In Ms. Bakhshyan’s words, the last scenario was a threat to the Heritage Party. “We realized that it was a very serious threat. And I thought that at least they would avoid saying such a thing; Serzh Sargsyan is still bearing the burden of the events of March 1, 2008. He hasn’t been relieved of that burden yet; it seems to me that he had to do everything he could to avoid that.”
