A Resident of Sevan Was Taken to a Mental Institution, Only Because He Was an Oppositionist (Video)

April 04,2013 10:39

During Raffi Hovhannisyan’s meeting in the town of Sevan yesterday, one of the residents, Norik Arakelyan, called some of the people gathered “rogues,” wagged his finger at them and assured that they had rigged the election. During a conversation with www.aravot.am, he clarified that those people would enter homes during the presidential election and collect passports. In response to our question why they had come to a meeting with Raffi Hovhannisyan, whether they had come to provoke, he said: “Yes, but who can do such a thing, when I am here? When someone is born a man, he should die a man, not a serpent.” We inquired of the resident of Sevan whether the mayor had really ordered people not to come to a meeting with Raffi Hovhannisyan. The resident of Sevan confirmed: “I heard about that by accident. One can expect anything from those people.” Norik Arakelyan is sorry that he wasn’t present at Raffi Hovhannisyan’s previous meeting, when an argument broke out between the mayor and the people gathered and Ruben Hakobyan. In response to our question whether he was not afraid that some charges could be laid against him tomorrow, the resident of Sevan said: “I am not afraid of anything. I have been deprived of everything already. I have even been taken to a mental institution. I am an oppositionist. They are afraid of people like me, since I am with the people.”
