The Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan responded to the statement of Defense Minister of Artsakh Levon Mnatsakanyan who stated that the Armenian side could target Mingechaur reservoir if necessary. “We have the opportunity to paralyze Azerbaijan’s economy, but I do not see the need yet. The martial art requires such military facilities to be targeted. It will damage the economy and exclude the possibility of the opponent supplying its Armed Forces. This reservoir is included in our plans”, Levon Mnatsakanyan had stated.
The Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan responded that Armenia also has such facilities that if targeted “the surrounding territories will become useless for a century. The most advanced weapon systems available at the disposal of the army are capable of destroying the enemy’s important military facilities and strategic communication lines at the earliest possible time. The enemy should think thoroughly before making such irresponsible statements as there are such facilities in the territory of Armenia that will become useless for centuries if we hit them”, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reports.
