‘My visit does not indicate that changes or solutions to Artsakh conflict have been outlined’: John Bolton

October 26,2018 15:32

“Solving this issue is difficult. If it were easy, the conflict would have been resolved a long time ago,” said National Security Advisor of the USA John Bolton during his first official visit in Yerevan regarding the Artsakh resolution process. He emphasized that his visit does not indicate that solutions or changes to the Artsakh conflict have been outlined.

“Both sides need to find a solution. My former superior said that no one wants peace more than the opposing sides,” the official said.

According to John Bolton, so that foreign pressure on Armenia decreases, it needs to find the most trustworthy route, which is the Artsakh conflict resolution.

“We are prepared to help in the resolution process. That not only comes from Armenian and Azerbaijani interests but ours as well. We are prepared to support you as both a co-chair nation of the OSCE Minsk Group and through other means,” John Bolton assured.
