“We are the first administration to not include the army in its internal political process,” Acting Prime Minister, head of the My Step alliance ballot Nikol Pashinyan said during a rally in Stepanavan. The upcoming snap parliamentary elections are to take place on December 9th.
Pashinyan said, “I specifically ordered the Minister of Defense to not dare tell any soldier whom they should vote for, because our soldiers are citizens of a self-sufficient and free country. No one should tell them whom they should vote for.”
According to Pashinyan, during previous elections, soldiers were ordered and forced to vote for corrupt people who stole from them.
