RPA candidate David Shahnazaryan announced to reporters after voting, “These are the most shameful elections in the history of Armenia. The campaigns were accompanied by threats, violence, and insults from the ruling force. It pains me that the campaigns were so short. I would have loved to continue for two more weeks. The campaigns created huge problems for the ruling force.”
Shahnazaryan said that Nikol Pashinyan is trying to pour dirt on him, but it isn’t working. “Let’s see if he’ll dare to or not.”
Aravot asked him about if he forgot the elections when the voting boxes were stolen when people would be violent towards reporters, and when special voters would be bussed to voting stations when he says that these were the most shameful elections. Shahnazaryan said, “Of course I haven’t forgotten. The authorities at the time never announced that those were to be the justest elections in the galaxy. Second, they stole them, and now law enforcement is doing all that since they are campaigning for Nikol Pashinyan’s punishing bodies. This terroristic lexicon was used by Pashinyan himself, as well as insults. We will never lower ourselves or to fall to his moral and intellectual levels, or to adopt his insulting lexicon.”
