“We completely support the efforts of the Minsk Group co-chairs. The Minsk Group is the mediator in the Artsakh conflict resolution process, and it completely is in charge of the process,” the European Union ambassador to Armenia Piotr Switalski told reporters regarding the meeting between Nikol Pashinyan and Ilham Aliyev in Vienna.
Reporters also asked about the process for visa-free travel between Armenia and the EU. The ambassador expressed hope that there will be noticeable progress within the next few months.
Regarding the fight against corruption in Armenia, Switalski said, “The EU will support Armenia in the fight against corruption through presenting new laws, creating new institutions, and through including public opinion in the fight against corruption.”
