Parliament begins work of third session of Seventh Convocation

On September 9, the parliament announced the launch of the work of the third session of the seventh convocation under the sounds of the state anthem.

The MPs formed and approved the agendas of the session and the regular sittings.

The draft laws not endorsed in the Head Committees have not been included in the agenda of the third session of the RA NA seventh convocation by the voting of the parliament.

The draft law authored by the NA deputy Gevorg Papoyan on Making Amendments to the law on Accumulated Pensions was debated in the first reading.

The member of the RA NA Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Affairs Karen Sarukhanyan presented the endorsement.

The RA Deputy Minister of Finance Arman Poghosyan presented for debate the draft law on Ratifying the Convention on Excluding the Double Taxation of Incomes and Property and Prevention of Tax Evasion between the Republic of Armenia and the Kingdom of Denmark.

The Deputy Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Hovik Aghazaryan voiced the endorsement of the Committee.

The draft law authored by the NA deputy Artak Manukyan was debated in the second reading and for completely passing it.

The parliament debated the legislative initiative on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Tax Code authored by the NA deputy Mikayel Melkumyan in the first reading.

The member of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Artashes Petrosyan informed the legislators the endorsement of the Committee.

The draft law on Making Addendum to the RA Tax Code authored by the NA Prosperous Armenia Faction was debated in the second reading procedure: it presented the NA Deputy Speaker, the member of the PA Faction Vahe Enfiajyan.

The Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Babken Tunyan called on his colleagues to vote against the initiative.

The key speaker Mikayel Melkumyan presented the RA draft law on Making Addenda on Water Users’ Companies and the Unions of Water Users’ Companies. The member of the RA NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment Tatevik Gasparyan has noted that the draft law corresponds with the RA Constitution, and it has been endorsed by the Committee. According to the Chairman of the Water Committee of the RA Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Vardan Melkonyan, voluminous debates were held on the draft law.

The MPs’ questions related to the management system, speculations and the upcoming programmes of the water economy sphere.

The RA National Assembly debated in the second reading the RA draft laws on Making Addendum on Water Users’ Companies and the Unions of Water Users’ Companies and on Making Addendum to the Law on Compulsory Enforcement of Judicial Acts.

The parliament debated the RA draft law on Ratifying the Protocol on Amending the Agreement on Cooperation in the Sphere of Military Messenger Post Communication between the RA Government and the RF Government authored by the Government, which the key speaker RA Deputy Minister of Defense Gabriel Balayan presented.

The draft law was endorsed by the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security. The member of the Committee Gevorg Gorgisyan highlighted the adoption of the draft law and called on to vote for it.
