During a discussion on brainstorming titled “Post-Election Armenia: Realities and Expectations” organized by the Integration and Development NGO and the Eurasian Club of Experts, Tatul Manaseryan, a member of the Eurasian Club of Experts and an economist, stated that the head of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia has no elementary education in economics.
The minister of economy also is not an economist. “I returned from war and saw that they discussed and accepted the budget. There is no concern for the post-war situation in the country in the budget. That budget would work for another country, but remove Armenia from it. Where is post-war Armenia’s budget?” the economist asked.
In the first quarter of 2021, the GDP decreased by 3.3 percent compared to the same time period in 2020, in the case where last year’s GDP decreased by 34.8 percent.
