“Azerbaijani troops are stationed in a large part of Ishkhanasar today,” Serob Gasparyan, the brother of Rustam Gasparyan, commander of the “Black Panthers” detachment, told reporters at the “Mirror” press club on November 30, referring to information that the Azerbaijani troops had withdrawn from the sovereign territory of Armenia.
He continued, “According to the information I received, the positions there are a bit different where the Turks are stationed with our soldiers. They were only slightly adjusted. They retreated a little so that the previous positions remained in the neutral zone. This is all that has happened as our people have been fed and lied to for years through false manipulations, and the same thing is happening today. The saddest thing is that today, our Armenian territories are again ascribed to the territory of Soviet Azerbaijan.”
According to Serob Gasparyan, the Azerbaijani troops remained in their positions in Ishkhanasar. “Instead of presenting our demands, we have become an aggressor. And many in the government say that we have been on someone else’s territory for 30 years, thereby helping the enemy to claim compensation for using our territory as they wish tomorrow. But for centuries, we have asked different countries and different states to recognize the Genocide.”
