During the National Assembly statements, Hayk Mamijanyan, MP of the I Have Honor faction, referred to the interview of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to Vladimir Solovyov, where he said that other republics of the post-Soviet space could join Belarus and Russia in a united country, most likely Armenia, because “nobody needs it.” Mamijanyan urged everyone to remember how Lukashenko was talking to Serzh Sargsyan, even outside the cameras.
“We are all outraged by the President of Belarus, but we may try to understand why. To understand the reasons, I would recommend listening to the recording of Lukashenko and Serzh Sargsyan again and distinguishing between how they talked to the leader of our country without cameras until 2018 and how they talk to Pashinyan in front of the cameras now. Can you imagine what they say when there are no cameras?” He considered Lukashenko’s statements inadmissible and said that Armenia has a place to go, and moreover, it has goals.
“Armenia and Artsakh have been and will continue to be the gateway to the Christian world. Armenia will continue to be the guarantor and supporter of the just self-determination of the people of Artsakh. Our country will stand up and get rid of the disgraceful stigma of capitulation and the re-election of the group that causes it.” Addressing Lukashenko, Mamijanyan said. “Do not identify Armenia with Nikol Pashinyan, do not think that you can talk to Armenia in the same way as you talk to Pashinyan.”
