Was the notion that the former and present leaders of Armenia have to get together and discuss the extremely dangerous situation that Armenia is in nowadays right? Of course, it was. That notion has one disadvantage, though. The characteristics of the main performers of the potential meeting are being ignored. To put it simpler: the person purposing such a meeting does not take into account that they are dealing with Robert Kocharyan and Nikol Pashinyan. This “small detail” deprives the theoretically right idea of meaning.
Is the notion that Russians need to be convinced that Putin has brought a great disaster upon them by starting the bloody war right? Yes, it is. But the fact that the vast majority of the country’s residents are sure that Russian children are being quartered by those “Banderites” and their soldiers are being sent to the war to protect them, is not considered. So, the people who purpose these reasonable ideas need to realize who they are dealing with again.
The same applies to the case when our society is urged to unite and collectively resist the new, completely expected attack from Azerbaijan. Let me tell you something I heard literally two days ago on this matter: “Have you heard that those traitor generals, who got caught, are mentioning Robert Kocharyan’s name. It is confirmed now, they betrayed the country during the recent war under Kocharyan’s instruction”. I think, like with the case of “precise information” about children being quartered, we are dealing with a certain level of knowledge and intelligence of an average citizen.
And now the question is: is talking about superiority in statehood, self-defense, and even regular logic possible with a level of societal perception like this?

I think that “Plato’s Cave” is an allegory, which can be used for cases like this. It is important to be patient, and tolerant and try to get people out of the shadow, to the real world without being judgmental and distressed.
