One of the two Syrian-Armenians who are among those who were killed in the earthquake in Aleppo holds dual Syrian and Armenian citizenship
Two Syrian-Armenians in Aleppo are among the victims of the deadly earthquake which hit Turkey’s Kahramanmaraş Province near the Syrian border.
Syrian Member of Parliament Zhirair Reisian told ARMENPRESS that the Syrian-Armenians who were killed in Aleppo are a mother and son – Mirna and Alper Tenekejean. Alper Tenekejean was a student at the Aleppo AGBU Lazal Najarian-Gulbenkian school.
Around 35 buildings were destroyed in the city.

Hunanyan added that they are working to determine whether or not there are citizens of Armenia among the victims in Turkey.
