“Armenia has now become a geopolitical bone of contention, which is the consequence of Pashinyan’s policy.” Opposition MP

“Artsakh today can only partially influence the process. Issues are resolved in Yerevan,” says Andranik Tevanyan

“All Pashinyan’s statements should be considered in the following logic. He failed in the so-called “peace agenda”; he understands it very well and wants to take the blame away. And now, the Russian peacekeepers are being targeted. He said that the security of RA is under question; he cannot solve the Artsakh issue, and what can he do? His policies have become the cause of the war and the blockade of Artsakh because he admitted in Prague in October that Artsakh may be part of Azerbaijan. All the statements after that are manipulation,” Andranik Tevanyan, deputy of the “Armenia” faction of the National Assembly, said in a briefing with journalists at the National Assembly.

Referring to Nikol Pashinyan’s assertion at the government session that Russia should turn to the UN Security Council regarding the fact of ethnic cleansing in Nagorno-Karabakh, Andranik Tevanyan said: “As long as Pashinyan is in power, Armenia will have to wait for escalation every day, regardless of whether there are Russian peacekeepers or other observers or not. They are the party of war and defeat. Armenia has now become a geopolitical bone of contention, also a consequence of Pashinyan’s policy. He voluntarily entered the logic of small currency, receiving personal security guarantees from the West. Washington’s logic is that Artsakh can remain a part of Azerbaijan, while Moscow’s logic is that the issue of Artsakh status can be left for later. Meanwhile, Pashinyan eliminated the possibility of the Moscow platform.”

According to Andranik Tevanyan, Artsakh, which claims the right to self-determination, can only partially influence this process today because the issues are resolved in Yerevan. “The problem is the policy of the Republic of Armenia, which recognized Artsakh as part of Azerbaijan, and Artsakh is suffering the consequences. What reintegration? That way, there will be no Armenians left in Artsakh.”

To remind, Nikol Pashinyan stated at his press conference the other day that in the meetings under the auspices of Brussels, they agreed on guaranteeing the rights and security of Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians. Still, after a short time, official Baku started talking about “integration with the Armenians of Karabakh.”
