Due to the lack of water and the hydrometeorological situation this year, we propose to increase the 170 million cubic meter water intake from Sevan and make it up to 240 million cubic meters. We should make all efforts and try to be able to finish the agricultural year normally with a smaller volume of water intake. The RA Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Vache Terteryan said this.
In the extraordinary sitting of the Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment Protection, the draft law on Making Addenda to law on Approving the Annual and Complex Plans for Restoration, Protection, Reproduction and Use of Lake Sevan Ecosystem authored by the Government was debated in the second reading on July 12.
During the period from the first to the second reading, it was proposed to make editorial amendments in the draft.
The revised draft was endorsed.
