At the extraordinary sitting of May 22, the Standing Committee on Defense and Security debated the draft law providing for addenda and amendments to the law on Military Service and the Status of Servicemen in the second reading.
The RA Deputy Minister of Defense Hrachya Sargsyan noted that the draft law defines the procedure for proper notification of the citizens. He informed that 4 different ways of notifying the citizens are defined. The first is the official e-mail of the citizen, the second option is by hand delivery to the citizen, the third option is postal delivery. If the state is not able to notify the citizens with the first three options, with the fourth option, it posts an extract of the notification in the Notification (Azdarar) System, and the citizen is considered duly notified on the 10th day after posting.
The Deputy Minister urged the citizens to register at their actual place of residence in order to avoid future problems, as the postal notification will be sent to the registered address of the citizen.
