Nationalism is neither fair, nor smart from the human perspective.
People who long for establishing the happiness of their fatherland on the foundation of another nation’s destruction or misfortune do not differ from the highwaymen at all. However, they are also stupid, because they don’t know that no nation can exist forever robbing others’ property, they are as stupid as a farmer who thinks he fertilizes the land by burning the neighboring field.
Nations exist and disappear, but no nation can absorb a nation that is not inclined to absorbing and on the contrary is able to resist. The Russian chauvinism did everything to “culturally” absorb the nations and ethnicities living on the Russian territory, but what did it achieve? Did it absorb Poles, Finns, Latvians and Japanese? Did it absorb Armenians, Georgians and Turks? No, it wasn’t able. Add to this the fact that the Russian semi-Asian civilization is still very far from the ability to destroy other civilizations and take their places. We see today what the results of the ceaseless efforts of the Russian chauvinism are. It proved for 100th time the stupidity and unfairness of nationalism and xenophobia. A fact that doesn’t need proving. However, nature itself grants appetite to big nations. It is not surprising that those nations show an appetite for absorbing small and tiny nations, thus, being funny and pitiful is added to unfairness and stupidity.
It is really funny to see a dwarf wearing huge armor and threatening left and right.
All chauvinists of our country whether they are Armenians, Georgians or Turks who want to establish a hegemony of their nation in our country are thus funny, besides being unfair and stupid. One of the three nations that thinks that it can absorb this or that neighbor first of all thinks too much of its pathetic civilization or at least physical strength and thinks too little of the others’ strength.
I have said and I repeat, none of the main ethnicities of Transcaucasia is so powerful to be able to absorb the others and is not so weak to be absorbed. All of them are equal powers that can fight at most. However, that fratricidal war will result in only one thing, the equal defeat of all three. Yes, even in the repulsive case when two of them join the third aiming at destruction.
Transcaucasia with its three main ethnicities is like a tripod. If one breaks one of the legs, the cauldron will not be able to stand.
