“Ugh, It Is a Nightmare, How Can One Say Such a Thing?” Mher Says

July 11,2012 17:17

During a conversation with www.aravot.am, Alexander Amaryan, the head of the Center for Help and Rehabilitation to Victims of  Destructive Cults NGO, said in response to our question what the scale of sects’ spread among representatives of the Armenian show business was, “As is clear from Mher’s words, representatives of the show business will go wherever they are paid. The national issues are put aside by them.”

Therefore, we got clarifications from singer Mher on what was said. He said during a conversation with us, “I cannot say anything. I don’t have any comment.” Then when Mher asked us to explain what national issues were more clearly (he doesn’t understand Armenian well – T. H.) and in the end, he understood what we were talking about and got annoyed, “Ugh, it is a nightmare, how can one say such a thing, it is absurd. Some 2-3 years ago, the Word of Life helped me on one occasion; they have made a fuss of it. I asked for one camera and they give it. I am not dependent on the Word of Life in anyway. What are the people seeking after; don’t they have anything else to do? How can one say things like that, God forbid, there is a war, I will go and encourage with my song, but those like them will not. I am tired; they have made a fuss of it. The Word of Life has nothing to do with Mher.”
