There is no “final truth”

June 04,2016 12:21

Recently, “Aravot” daily published an article about the movie “Karktik” (Jackstones) which tells about the Karahunj observatory. One of our readers who introduced himself as a specialist did not like the words of the interlocutor in this article interview by our journalist. But this person who was displeased with this publication began to argue not with the expresser of the opinion but with “Aravot” about how we dared to publish such an error, an illiterate article without talking with the scientists.

Readers often express such indignation. A couple of weeks ago, I read a similar “slamming” about a publication on a historical theme. But, in my opinion, the media cannot be a judge and decide any “truth”, including about scientific matters, one expresses an opinion, if someone does not agree, please, “Aravot” is open to everyone’s opinions.

Samvel Babayan criticizes the authorities, so far staying mainly in the framework of “military themes”, good for him, do not get too upset, try to find a rational grain in this criticism. The government authorities do not agree with this criticism, good for them too, they think that it is a political claim, again it is their opinion. Personally, I think that there are no “fairies,” “nation savors” and “Spinozas” on either side, but we must listen to all, consider their opinion and evaluate everyone’s merits. The opinion of both sides, as well as others, should find a place in “Aravot”, I welcome the publication of everyone’s opinion.

And what is wrong in presenting a political clam? Nothing, when should such claim be presented if not before the parliamentary elections? The more the political claims the better. No need to be worried about when there are no political claims, as it would mean that the fight would be on not by political methods.

Do you think that Robert Kocharyan, Samvel Babayan, “Consolidation” and their media resources form one political team? It is very possible but it is normal. The stir of enthusiastic proponents and “purulent” opponents does not last forever. But prior to extinguishing this activeness, if the enthusiasts and “purulent” have something to say, please, visit “Aravot.” Only do not think that we consider anyone to be the final truth holder.

Recently, we had referred to a fight of parents for the child. We had presented both father’s and mother’s arguments. After that, both sides did not stop disturbing us, saying, “the truth is on our side.” Also, I also rejoice when we interview someone and the reader leaves a post underneath, “what the purpose of this article was.” The purpose of the interview rather than the “article” is to present the views of given person. The second purpose is for you to read this article.
