Zara Mgoyan named UNESCO Artist for Peace

Yezidi singer Zarifa Mgoyan known as Zara, has been named UNESCO Artist for Peace. The official website of UNESCO informs that the award ceremony will be held in UNESCO Headquarter on 5 December. Zara will also perform a concert.

Zara Mgoyan received the honorary title due to her dedication to the initiatives for the education and organization of the children and adults with disabilities.
UNESCO Artists for Peace are internationally renowned personalities who use their influence, charisma and prestige to help promote UNESCO’s message and programmes. Cooperating with UNESCO they heighten public awareness regarding key development issues and inform the public about the activities of the organization.
