Davit Babayan: Azerbaijan refuses from its soldier since he was captured

February 03,2017 01:08

It is quite strange that Azerbaijan refuses from own soldier, Davit Babayan, Spokesperson to Artsakh President told Panorama.am when asked to comment on the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry’s claims that the captured soldier had been discharged from the Azerbaijani Army for the systematic violation of discipline and is not registered in the country’s armed forces.
To note the NKR Defense Ministry released a statement on late Wednesday saying due to the anti-sabotage measures the Armenian frontier units managed to capture Azerbaijani serviceman identified as Elnur Hussein Zadeh,1995, born in Barda city of Azerbaijan.
“Subversive infiltrations and, in general, violations that follow or precede diplomatic moves aimed at the conflict settlement has long turned into a defining feature of Azerbaijani behavior. All those violations, aggressiveness come to prove the fascist nature of the Azerbaijani state,” Babayan said, pointing out the case of the captured soldier.
“Azerbaijan immediately refused from its soldier, defender of its borders after he was captured accusing him of showing poor discipline and citing his unbalanced nature. If he died, he would probably have been named a shahid with Aliyev [Ilham], his wife, son, and daughters mourning over his loss to demonstrate the public their concern,” Babayan said, adding the case comes to illustrate also the immoral and inhuman image of the Aliyev regime.
Expanding on the Azerbaijani claims over the captured soldier, Babayan went on suggesting Azerbaijan is likely more interested in having “schizophrenic heroes”, the likes of Safarov.
In Babayan’s words, if a soldier is captured that is not to blame him as a traitor, while the case reveals a soldier’s life does not worth a penny for Azerbaijani leadership
The Atrsakh President spokesperson next insisted that Azerbaijani statement is an attempt to conceal its unacceptable actions, since it has long been the side that is consistently disrupting the implementation of the arrangements reached at Vienna and St. Petersburg summits, the specifically the proposal to introduce investigative mechanisms into the ceasefire violations.
“The failed sabotage infiltration attempt will prompt the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs and the international community not to recommend but rather directly demand to take steps toward implementation of those mechanisms,” reasoned Babayan, adding Azerbaijan simply fails to fulfill its obligations since it is standing behind those violations.
