The 17-year-old young man, who was sheltered by an enemy sniper on July 20, is Aghasi Mirzoyan, a resident of Chinari. When the opponent started firing, 17-year-old Aghasi Mirzoyan was in the village cemetery, while taking the cattle to the pasture. A fellow-villager’s gravestone saved Aghasi Mirzoyan. Here is a passage from our talk with Aghasi Mirzoyan:
“How did you notice that the shots were fired in your direction?”.
“I saw a bullet passing over my head”.
“Where did you take cover?”.
“I hid behind gravestones. I stayed for about an hour behind the stones like that, and for half an hour more I was lying. As I wanted to get up and leave, they started firing, they knew I was there, and they had aimed at me. After an hour, they stopped shooting”.
Let us note that Aghasi Mirzoyan has graduated from school. He is currently carrying out different works in the village. During the talk, he mentioned that he will be recruited to the army in summer next year.
