Members of the Armenian boxing team Hovhannes Bachkov, who is part of the 64 kg group, and Artur Hovhannisyan, who is part of the 49 kg group, became European champions and champions of the European Games in Minsk, Belarus. 

Bachkov defeated his rival from France, Sofiane Oumiha, and Hovhannisyan defeated Georgian Sakhil Alakhverdov.
