On 17 September Artsakh Republic President Arayik Harutyunyan received a group of sports sphere devotees and conferred them with honorary titles for the contribution to the development of physical culture and sports, the preparation of sports shift and on the occasion of the Day of the Physical Culture Worker.
The Head of the State mentioned in his congratulatory remarks that despite the artificial obstacles created by Azerbaijan during the soviet years for the development of sports life in Artsakh, many people, ignoring the political hindrances, carried out their work with dignity. “On behalf of all the generations you brought up I convey my sincere gratitude to you. These honorary titles are just a modest assessment of your great service by the authorities,” the President of the republic noted.
Minister of Military Patriotic Upbringing, Youth, Sports and Tourism Samvel Shahramanyan and other officials partook in the meeting.
